The helper to self control

"why do I have to put my syrup in this cup!?"

"Simply because you used a Costco sized syrup bottle with one pancake. "

" why did you measure out how much butter I can have?! "

"oh, because when I don't you use 7 tbsp on one teeny tiny pancake. And j think you too young to have a heart attack."

These little cups were about 5 $ for 75 with caps. $5 for self control and a happier pocket book.

"and no. You can't have 2 cups. Stop asking."

Lol

A healthy snack for hubby

I made my hubby some cupcake quiches. They turned out super yummy and they are very healthy. The hardest thing about a diet; is the prep food. That's what I am here for! To cook, chop, heat and repeat!

"I don't want toast no more!"

My ungrateful children have been
Complaining about homemade bread in the morning. They said "toast isint that yummy." So my beautiful bread sat, and sat, and got a little harder, and still, she sat. So this morning, I refused to throw away this meal, and I dipped her in vanilla egg wash to make: gigantic French toast!! It's "toast" but rather feisty! These pieces are so tall and wide my kids will be unable to get into trouble at school! Due to the face that the only thing on their mind will be "Sooo-oo full-- must sleep." ha ha!! "toast no more" my booty!!!

Wow! It worked.

So i thought I would give authentic salsa a try---
So I roasted--
And toasted--
And blended--
And salted--
And added--
And decided-- I will NEVER buy salsa again!! This turned out sooo good. My husband loves it-- and it cost me under $5 to make a pitcher full of this greatness!!!!!!

Whoo hoo!!!! I know how to make salsa!!!!!

Do your kid eat boiled cabbage?!

I made corned beef and cabbage--
And my kids ate it up like candy!!

What a wonderful dish for a large family.

Sunday worship

The day is bright...
The sky is blue...
The kingdom hall is singing...
Are you?

Lol!! The meeting was beautiful as always. Sometimes, when we go to meeting, the world feels perfect and as it should.

Bring it

Bring it on Satan....
I have no plans on you winning.....
Anything......ever!

And if you have a problem with that--
You can talk to my body guard; Jesus. You remember him right? Yea, he's the one you back stabbed , way back in the day. Yea, he remembers you-- but not in a good way.

Any how, I've been looking at the books, and I've decided that I'm done with your petty games.

Just wanted you to know: your job just got a lot harder!

Appreciating all of Jehovah's creations....

My mother in law has a pet "Roxanne"
And as much as I want to suck Roxanne up into my vacuum hose; seeing her work with this horribly frightening creature, made me appreciate Jehovah and all that he creates... This creepy crawling creature was perfect--- nothing was missing. And she was kind and a little cute after you got to know her. Will I ever get a "Roxanne" For our home? Nope. But it's kind of cool someone else does.

Puppy love....

A close up on the bread...

You can see a chunk of black olive that sliced nicely. And the top is a golden brown from the cheese. There are little sections of green olive-- and slivers of garlic sneaking around. And it taste soooo yummy dipped in the minestrone! Amazing what flour, yeast, water and love can do!

Mmmmm dinner

When it's cold and rainy...
The house needs to be warm and soft.
I made a home made minestrone, and 3 olive, onion, garlic, cheese bread.
The olives in the bread were from our stash of cured olives.

Koral loved the bread-- and the broth.
Billy iv-- ate one bowel and claimed it to be way to healthy for a growing boy.
Bella happily ate a man sized bowel with a hunk of bread and promptly fell asleep. My husband ate 2nds then thirds. And I ate my share!!

This was a winner of all sorts! The storm was blowing so hard. But our little family was safe, warm, and happy. Complete with family study!

The train!!!!

Bella loved going to old sac with family !! The train was amazing fun!!!

Feeding the birds

We fed the birds at the marina! We shared our garlic croutons from our Asian chicken salad--- turns out bella wanted me to share all mine because hers were toooooo yummy to share. Lol

Doing dishes

Doing the dishes with her big brother.... My children are simply amazing!!

The choices we live with....

"can I get a haircut?"
"I want this one or maybe this one...."
"ok I know for sure---- I want this one."

So my baby picked out a hair cut...
And her grandma cut her hair and it turned out BEAUTIFUL!! And she loves it!!! Good choice honey bunny!

The joy of a backyard

Upon organizing the side of the barn I came across a large hay nest. I poked it-- kindly kicked it. I just know this stupid thing is going to filled with a million creepy crawlers. But just in case there's babies; I have to probe until my curiosity is completely satisfied. Turns out this VERY LARGE field mouse ran away. Kind of cute. Fuzzy. Brown. I thought--- I hope shes not friends with the cat!

But I studied the design of the nest-- and how beautiful each blade of dried up Grass intertwined with the next. Held together with itself, mathematically designed to hold life. No glue, tape, staple or nails, just the art of Jehovah.

Husband comes home and says; "Ew. Late sweets. It smells like wet dog and skunk." remarkable accurate!
