Ain't nothin but a farm girl

I was hanging laundry yesterday, and I saw this: see picture.

And fell in love with my home. What did I do right, to have this beautiful farm?

My anniversary present

I am not a diamond kind of girl. Shiny sparkly things don't make my heart swoon. And man does my husband know me! Clothes line. ;) <3

My husband built me a specialized drying rack for the garage. And (sniff sniff).... It's beautiful!!!

And anyone who knows my husband knows this wasn't that most complicated project hes ever done; but..... It's just BEAutiful!!!!

In all trueness-- I am so happy!!!! So thankful!! So so happy!!

What did your husband get you for your anniversary? A clothes line. ;)

Some Women might find this rude, or just mean. Not me ladies! I like hanging clothes. I like gardening. I like cleaning and I like serving my man!


The only thing that could of made this any better is as truck load of dirt!

Can you see past the rolls?

Can you see the CHUNK on this kid? Fina is certainly not starving. Lol
I needed some around the house pants. So I sewed up 8 pairs the other day. Purple, pink, light green etc. super easy pattern from Simplicity. At the store, they wanted almost $4 for each pair. On average, Fina will go through 1 to 2 pairs a day. I do laundry every other day, so the math adds up quick.
Save de money.

So I know in the picture you can see little baby pants, but really all that can REALLY be seen is those delicious fat rolls lumping over Finas knee. :)

Hello fried rice...goodbye white rice

Yesterday's white rice becomes today's fried rice. Yummy. I found a simple recipe; I didn't have all the ingredients so I just made do. Yummy yummy.
Or as Bella would say "yummy my tummy!"

Awww... Even teeny tiny feet get wrinkly when in the water too long. ;D

Organic vegan 100% natural baby food

Today at the store, I was taking notes on what Gerber had available. I have never bought baby food, and I don't ever plan on it. Why? If my dinner is good enough for my other 3, why can't Fina have it? While I was looking I found a little jar titled "Organic Vegan Grapes And apples." Organic-- fresh. Vegan--- no animal products were used in the making of this grape. Lol. So, a company took some grapes, and some apples and diced and sliced them until they became mush- then- jarred it. And said "Great nutritional food for baby."
So I made (are you ready?) "Vegan Organic Carrots and Apples with breast milk." lol. So fancy. In other words, I boiled some carrots, smooched the carrots, added some apple, added some breast milk and stirred. Last one or two days in the fridge. So it was -- fresh. Lol why are things so complicated in this world? Lol. Life with baby dosent have to be that confusing. Add Breasts milk, smoosh and feed. Lol
Given you listen to dr. And baby, it's really not that hard to be snobby, I mean "organically vegan." lol. I have a "100%- exclusively- breast- fed -vegan-organic- baby." Lol!!!! I guess if I was talking to someone special I might say this. But here on the Martin Farm, we call it "well fed." :)

What a blessing to have friends to share Jehovah with; and side dishes, and children. What a beautiful day....

BBQing bliss

We have joyfully embraced the new season. The bird feeder is full, the hummingbirds have found our homemade Hummingbird food. The sun flowers are growing.. The laundry is hanging...and we're are eating as a family, outside among nature. My husband has BBQing THE BEST chicken, dogs, and hamburgers. It's the simplest of joys, but so amazing. When the world is going 500 miles and hour, we have the serenity of our backyard. When the world is screaming and honking and yelling and nasty, we have our home. Laughter, giggles, stories of life, food, music and fun. Proverbs 31; to provide for our family in every way. Including making an escape for them, away from Satans snares.

What a blessing to provide something so simple for my family, yet so complicated.

And of coarse, none of this is on my own accord. If my husband didn't provide so greatly, then we wouldn't be able to do any of this.

And the wisdom Jehovah gives us, to keep a simple eye.

Hanging clothes

Again, this beautiful weather makes me hang all the clothes in my home. I can't help it, it's just so pretty!

My daughter loves me

My oldest daughter just got back from a camping trip, in Monterey. Besides having a great time and eating a huge popcorn shrimp sandwich in the Bubba Gump restaurant; she came home bearing gifts. She bought me band aids.

"for all of lives little boo boos" she said. Then she signed all of it to me in sign language.

I responded with eating one, and pointing to my smile and rubbing my tummy.

She wanted to put on a new piece every return visit we went to.

Time to mow the Back yard.
My hubby towed Bella behind, dogs running around, my son running just as fast. How can something so simple bring so much happiness? Mowing the yard becomes a family event in this house. Lol
