Educational Netflix

So...... Bella watches tv.
Yo GABA GABA.
ABC leap frog.
123 leap frog.
My little pony

Just to name a few. And the hope is that the educational shows are sinking in. Well, to my surprise my 3 year old read to me this morning. She read the word "Dragon." In the table of contents, under My Little Pony, is a how called 'Dragonshy." We've talked about how this show is bad, and Jehovah doesn't like magic. And she's cool with it. But some of the other shows teach things like, manners, playing well with others and even (gasp) going to the doctors for a S-H-O-T!! On my tv in the room, when you pic a show, the table of contents comes up, and a teeny tiny picture. And the title of the show, and a discription. Bella pops up and says "That's the dragon show, and that one is bad, right mama?!" I said "Which one is the dragon show?" She said "That one." And I began pointing to each show on the screen. She then said "Stop". As I pointed to the words "Dragonshy." I asked her "How did you know it said that?" She calmly said "The AbC's say so."

Wow. Reading at. I'm so proud! Now if you will excuse me, my kid shoved a penny in my hallway door jam and the door won't shut.....

Getting up

Yea. Guess it's cute. Little girl, robe, baby doll, sleepy eyes asking you pointless questions in the middle of the night. But--- oh my goodness-- 6 times in one night?! Bella just could not shut off her brain. (Just like her daddy!) Here is the list of conversations and topics discussed last night:

1. "I need to blow my nose, and I don't know how." (I felt bad for her, and I helped her and put her back to bed)

2. "My bed is all messy, I can't sleep in my bed.." (I got up and layed all her blankets flat, and re-tucked her in.)

3. "I have to pee pee and the whole house is so dark." (I got up and took her to go pee pee and tucked her back in.

4. "I can't sleep." ( I responded with "Go back to bed and count sheep." She responded with "Silly mama, we don't have any sheep." )

5. "I can't find your ipad. I'm worried." ( I told her "It's right here. Don't worry. Go tuck yourself in." And she did.)

6. "Mama, whatcha doin?" (I one-eyed her, and said "trying....oh so trying... To sleep little one. Please. Go. To. Bed. Pplleeaasse." She said "k.". )

Then she got up at 4:15 and said in excitement: "Daddy, my light is on!!!! Good morning!! "

Then came the demand. To get the full effect, I will take away all spaces, and you should try to read its fast as you can. Because theses demands were given in full effect in about one-two minutes and when she finished her breath, she wanted to know why I have not delivered them:

Mamaineedmilk,andmyshow,andcleanpanties,andfinaneedsmilk,andimhungry,andfinashungry,and,canihavemyrobe,andmybaby,whereismyshow?

I layed there, with my eyes sleeping, but my brain waking up. Fina starts up with "Mama Mama mama mamammamamamanmamananammamamamamamammmmmaaaaa!!!!" As she bird kisses me. (Open mouth baby kisses). Repeat Bella sentence from above. So starts the coffee song:

Coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-coffee-el-coffee-longo-----------coffee-coffee coffee- coffee.......

The joys of parenthood.

Have a warm fuzzy day...... <3

"She keeps kissing me!"

Fina-zillion attacked Bella at nap time and smothered her with baby kisses.
Bella was pinned down and laughing. Which made Fina laugh, which made Bella laugh harder.
Which made Fina baby kiss her again. A beautiful circle.

Practicing patience

Not all forms of patience comes from the parents, quiet slow nature.
No, sometimes it's shown in the form of a grape.
A 3 year old, sitting at the kitchen table, gently peeling the skin from a grape.
When asked "Why?" She said "So they can taste like cherries." :) of coarse dear.
When the house is going 500 miles an hour, and who has time to peel a grape?!! I mean, really people!!!

Well, I do. I have time to watch little fingers gently peel a grape perfectly.
I have time to accept the gift a small child who very diligently wanted to finish the job and share the wealth.

The problem.

The solution.

The problem: Fina poops after dinner. And not always at the same time.
The problem: Bella can't handle floating tootsie rolls.
The problem: showers get cold too fast, and its hard to share the water, not to mention my water bill.

The solution: basins. You get this one, you get that one. You both play together.
And if anything nasty should happen, I can just wash off the kid, and dump the nasties down the toilet.

The solution: Instead of 20 minutes of shower, followed by cold and cranky babies, I get 1 hour of water play time that isint too hard on my water bill.

The solution: They are so cute. They think that changing basins brings a new found fun. So it's super entertaining. And let's get crazy! Adding bath color blue to one and orange to another!! And one with bubbles and one without. Look out!

I know it's not a permanent solution. But for right now, it works. But then, again, pooping tootsie rolls won't be permanent either.

Gotta go with the flow...

Korals first project with Silk

When Koral went to visit her mama, she was given a big bag of fabric. Her mama asked her to make something nice out of this leopard print silk fabric, and to give it to her mama as a gift. Koral came up with the idea of a pretty pillowcase. So we found ourselves busy with ideas and creative thoughts. And this is what she came up with. Korals mama gave her a light, thin black lace ribbon. It seemed too delicate for this project, so we added a piece of black bias tape down the middle. Creating her own ribbon. She did a great job lining up the ribbon. Good job honey your mama will love it! :)

Sorry about the double writing at the bottom of the pic. I had some compilations with an app. Oh well, Korals pillow case is awesome!

Having a teenager in the house.

Did you know you can do laundry, even with the laundry clamped shut on the sleeve of your shirt??? Teenagers. They have to learn.

Fear has struck me to my bone

In the 16th century, Scotland had a device for gossipers. Just the sheer embarrassment of having to wear this contraption would seal my lips!!! Let alone actually wear it......

....anyway...it's 2013 and were in Cally so........on Desperate Housewives Lynette had a .... :D

Something's from my childhood

Cupcake girls. They came in an assortment of "Flavors." And she fit inside her cupcake. I had every color they could make. And my dear Raggedy Ann. I slept with her every night. Little things that make me excited. Lol

Mamas heels

What is it about mamas heels? So graceful and so elegant. So special and beautiful.
Bella played with a pair today and Fina followed along watching in amazement. That beautiful noise they make!! KoralLuv coarse, looks on saying "yea, I've worn those around the house."
So much symbolic things happening around me. Time for a nap! Lol

Lunch for family

Recently, we had family over for lunch. Bella set the table!! Napkins, forks, spoons and cups. What a lovely thing for a 3 year old to know.

My swooning heart

I love my husband. He got a new toy, and I came in the HUGE box. Before playing with his new toy, he made a house for Fina. If that's not sweet enough, he got in the house with her! He is such a great papa. I love him so much!

Bath tub crayons

I finished a batch of bath tub crayons :).
Life is good. I have no idea why I didn't add glitter. If you'll excuse me, I need to make a batch of glittery bath tub soap!!!
