Service and the park

After some door to door, our little troop fed the ducks and played at the park. We have such sweet little ones. What a beautiful day.

Hello little one

Big feet. Chunks of loose down feathers, sits when he eats, fell in the water and stays close to mama.

I introduce: teenage duck.

My husband asked me;

"why do you feel like you have to inhale your food? Why do you get possessive of your meal?"

See picture. Please note there is usually 3 more children watching me eat.

I can't help it. I feel like I'm about to be jumped for my chicken!!!!

Laundry room

I decorated my laundry room. It's not perfect, in fact, the more I look At it, the less I like it. But painting was fun! I do think I will keep the cute little painting with true clothes line..... But the cabinets have to go.

Baby curls

Why is it so beautiful to see a sweet child, in the bath, hair in a pony tail and the tip of her baby curls wet?

Bella is busy running a cafe of her own. She calls it "Come Fina Fina". She said she's going to make a BIG coffee for mamma, and a STRONG coffee for daddy.

I strongly recommend this coffee house to anyone seeking a laugh and a watered down pretend coffee. :D

Wing stop

A wanted wing stop. But I didn't want to spend $60 on chicken wings and fries.
So, I did what I always do, make it at home.

Come to mama........

The meaning of "pouting"

Theres a saying:

"If you looked up the word____ you'd see my picture."

Well, if you look up the word "Pouty"
You would see this picture.

*this particular pout was regarding chocolate milk, and the lack there of *

As quoted from a 12 year old boy

Kendall and Bella were playing together, when billy noticed their age difference in physical size. Kendall is 4, Bella is 2. Billy then said something profound:

"There size difference is so different, but their love difference is the same."

Awwwwwww........

The simplicity of glass

At what age do you introduce glass to your child? As soon as you can in my opinion. Teaching a child to use something as delicate as glass is a challenge in itself. But in the long run, it teaches a lesson of slowness. This is a world plastic. Plastic bibs, plastic sippy cups, plastic binkies, plastic serving dishes, plastic forks and spoons. Anything can be bought, temporarily used and disposed of at your ease.
What a wonderful thing to teach a child; to set a table using dishes, real forks, cloth napkins and a placemat. To learn that a drink dosent have to come in "bladder buster" size, nor does it have to e sucked out of a straw. But a tea cup, with a little bit of cold iced tea, is fine. A little at a time. Go back if you want more. But just a little at a time.
Glass; simple and beautiful.

A world wide tired

Everyone I know is tried.
My husband.
My friends.
Pioneers.
Elders.
The neighbor.
The dog.

But, only my teenagers have the capability to do something about it.

The beauty of the outdoors

The beauty of an innocent child, enjoying her dog in the middle of the day. Her adventures, ideas and thoughts. She tells on her dog and vise versa. What a beautiful gift from god. A companion that always understands. In jackies eyes, Bella is always right and always perfect. We all know better than that. But how wonderful to have a companion that is loyal on every level.
Jehovahs creation is amazing.

My corner of the world

My dogs like to eat produce. Squash. Lettuce. Strawberries. Tomatoes. Jalapeño. Whatever my little heart desires, they seem to enjoy as well.

My kids like to eat produce.

Between the kids and the dogs I rarely enjoy produce from the garden.

By rule of thumb, I always plant one cherry tomato plant for the kids. And peas. They can spend hours eating from the backyard.

But, I would like to grow a salad. A squash. A jalapeño. So I asked my husband for something sweet and reliable. Nothing fancy. Just needs to keep the riff raff out.

And here's what he built me. <3
I love my hubby!!!!

The big fish photos

Here are some large photos of
"de big fish".

The big fish

Once upon a time, fishing wasn't just for leisure. It was dinner. It was a lunch sandwich with fries. It was a requirement that papa went out all fishing all day. He would come home with a whole bouquet of fish. Then mama would do whatever she had to do to make it edible.

I told my husband, why not make it a requirement to fish once, twice a month? To go out and fish, bring home beautiful fish and also relax from the heavy weight of the grind.

He brought home a 63 inch stergon. Which I can't spell. :) I would love to write his whole experience of bringing in a almost 5 foot fish; but it's his story to tell.

We hung it, gutted it, skinned it, filleted it and froze it. 4- 1 gallon size freezer bags of 3 inch steaks. There was 2 batches of what I call "nuggets". The little bits of meat that I couldn't bear to throw away, but didn't meet "steak" quality beauty. I deep fried that baby! The fish is so fresh and good. No lingering fish taste or smell. Just a delicious!!!

Baby spiders

Awhile back I went to use the restroom in the middle of the night. Blurry eyes and uncoordinated; I discovered a massive cloud of baby spiders. All crawling down to eat my head off. So naturally I screamed. And my knight came and saved the day! I love my hubby.

Vicious Doberman

Careful.
Watch out.
She may love you to death!
My dear puppy Jackie has wonderfully snuggled Fina into her puppy line. It's like bring knighted, but you gain the life long loyalty of a dobie.

Once you go dobie, you never go back.
