Our first lemon cucumber

One single lemon cucumber was ready to be picked. Let me tell you! Refreshing. It's like biting into a glass of iced water with a slice of lemon and cucumber. Immediately refreshed. Perfectly juicy. The color scheme is outstanding. Warm yellow outside. Cool green on the inside. 5 stars Jehovah!!!

Story time at the Library

Sarafina and Bella enjoying story time and song time at the Library.

Koral enjoying the library and billy enjoying it as well.

I'm so pleased with this arrangement.
The lady sings, reads a story, sings, we do a little dance, sings, one last story then a good bye song. Then all the children can mingle for awhile.
So much fun!

Fort Bella

It's hot. Like "I'm dying--Hot."
So we cooled the house, and built a fort. Everything is better in a fort.
Coloring. Reading. Play baby. Napping. Snacking. When your surrounded by a blue knitted cotton blanket; everything becomes "AMAZING"

And who knew the construction of 2 chairs and a couple hair ties would make for a sturdy foundation. These kids apparently do not know anything about me. :D "Seriously, You go first." ;D

110 in Baypoint, ain't no thang for the Martins

Any complaints with 3 digit weather?
Maybe: "Where's the next slushie?"

The Martins handle heat with style.

Pool. Music. Good food. Loud music. Laughter and late nights.

Who wants a mason jar filled with margarita?

Lets not forget, service comes first. Which was lovely. Service was at a new service center, so nice to talk to our friends. We got to pet an old white cat that Billy and I named "Old number 7." It creaked when it walked. Poor thing.

Service

Wow. Such a GREAT day out in service. Kids were everywhere. Strollers were everywhere. But the ministry was soooooo responsive. I placed a book, and set up for a bible study. The young woman is so interested. Another sister had 2 bible studies she got door to door! Such productiveness. Also, the devotion our brothers have. Our conductor was out of state, and flew in this morning, yet still came to morning meeting to guide the friends. Such wonderful loyalty and devotion. I'm so touched by the love.

Lots of love for the little ones

Bella got a Get Well Soon gift. With a Video of love and "Get -Better Soons'."
She loved the sweet video, and all the sweet gifts. I couldn't read the book fast enough, and the movie should of been playing already! Also, "someone needs to snuggle that monkey in, and can I see the video again?"

And by default, Fina got a whole slew of new gifts. Lol

"It's just....." Bella age 3

Bella is SICK! Bad fever, throwing up, headaches, body aches, you name it.
She says to me: "It's just.....it's just... It's just..... My tummy has a headache."

Lol. Well described little one.

Awwww so sweet

Even under the tiring circumstances, they are just so darn cute.

Hard night with the little ones

Bella threw up twice since 4 a.m.
Sarafina was up, by default.
I made some soup and cuddled them in tight for a few hours while watching Disney.
Now, 7:30 a.m., little ones cuddle in for some needed rest.
It still makes me smile to see them cuddle with this giant bear, and each other. Sweet babies.
Now.... I know I have a coffee pot-- I hope I can figure out how to make coffee.....

Bella (3)

She needed to use the bathroom at 4 a.m. Naturally, the bathroom was dark. She ran back to me, "Mommy! Mommy! The bathroom is TOO DARK!!! I need to recharge my eyes because I can't see a thing!"

:D

Turning the barn into a School House

My husband has been sweating and staying up late, turning the barn into a school house for the babies. My husband is beyond amazing. "Here is a toothpick honey, go build me a mall."
And he can!!!! :D

Our daily harvest

Give or take a jalapeño, or bell pepper, this is our daily harvest.
I am so pleased with our garden this year. Fresh mint, for wonderful drinks.
Tomato, fresh basil and mozzarella, nightly. Squash---everything!!!
Everything I need to make fresh, roasted, salsa.
I would love to double the garden next year, but we can barely eat our harvest this year.

Attack of the KILLER TOMATOES.

It's going to eat the dog if we're not careful!!!

Harvest is a comin'

Everything is growing and producing daily.
Lavender, Rosemary, Basil, Mint, Tomatoes, Squash, Strawberries, Raspberries, Tomatellios, Jalapeños, Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, and a Onion bed. Not all is pictured.

My outdoor kitchen

My husband installed an outdoor kitchen in my garage.
Sink, countertop and stove. The garage is set up with baby gates so the little ones can be with me while I cook. What a wonderful hubby.

Forgot to say:

In the quinoa fried rice, I used only egg whites, and used the yoke for the kids fried rice. Excited about the health kick.

Chinese dinner

I've been craving Chinese food; thank goodness were broke. It helps the waist line to have no money :).

I had a bag of quinoa, my new favorite grain and I wondered; "Can I make fried rice with quinoa?" The short answer: Yes. Super good. All the flavor of fried rice but zero guilt. I packed it full of veggies and marinated Teyraki chicken.
Super big hit.

When I went to the produce market, they had huge eggplants priced to sell. So I bought two and made Szechuan Spicy Eggplant. 4 stars with the Martin family.
